Unlocking Research Capital

 

Research has the capacity to change lives and to build to the future. The creation of new knowledge is an important role of universities. The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University is committed to improving health and social outcomes for individuals and for communities.

 

The Unlocking Research Capital (URC) Project is looking at how we can use our professional connections and relationships to understand research needs and to build an understanding of the contribution that research can make. Three sets of projects are being undertaken

  • Mapping of our community and professional relationships
  • Developing educational resources to build skills in working with organisations, health services and community groups
  • Consolidating partnerships by providing an online Translation and Evidence Centre for nursing and allied health

These activities will strengthen our partnership and position ourselves to seek research funds and conduct research studies that have practical value for our community.

 

Within the URC Project section, there are a series of different resources that have been developed from the three themes to support health researchers to undertake research, to build and maintain successful collaborative relationships with other researchers and to build skills in finding and analysing evidence to support research.
